The tireless force behind Kantaya

Yessica Flores

Founder and Director

Industrial engineer, with a masters from UCLA and more than 15 years of experience in marketing and strategic planning at well-known companies.

“After living outside on Peru, I became conscious that I could not keep being indifferent about the reality of my country. I felt that it was my moral responsibility to be grateful for all that I fortunately have. I believe in the power of education and I believe that it needs to be a right for EVERYONE”.

Fabiola Portocarrero

Founder and Director

Social communicator with more than 13 years of work experience in public and educational entities.

“I have always felt that we all have to make a change in society where each person can make a difference. We all unknowingly impact people in many different ways, we are constantly educating, we are responsible for doing so in a responsible manner”.

Jessica Farro

Founding Professor

25 years of work experience as a teacher. She is a volunteer teacher and coordinator at Kantaya.

“We give everything without expecting anything in return, we know that we advance when we see the smiles enlighten the faces of each child. Nobody is too rich where they don’t need to receive, and too poor where they cannot give”.

Felix Estrada

Founding professor

Eight years of work experience as a teacher. He is an administrative coordinator for Kantaya.

“Helping kids gives me life and happiness, giving them security and being able to tell them DO NOT FEAR; that they are not alone, that Kantaya and the volunteers are here so they can achieve their dreams”.

Volunteers
